A clean fade is the hardest line in barbering - and the easiest one to fake. We work it the slow way: clipper-over-comb, then a careful blade out, then a scissor finish over the top. The result holds for around five weeks before the line begins to soften.
The starting line is always the same conversation: what do you do with your hair on a Monday morning when nobody is looking? Whatever it is, that is what we are cutting for. Not the photo. Not the chair light. The Monday morning version of you.
What is included
- A short pre-cut consult and a quick check of the way your hair grows.
- A wash with the house tonic - we keep the temperature deliberately on the warmer side.
- The cut itself: clipper, blade or scissor depending on what the look needs.
- A neck shave with the straight razor and a final brush down.
- Light styling product if you want it. We do not push it.
How long it takes
Thirty to forty-five minutes from chair to mirror. The skin fade and the textured crop tend to run a little longer because the blending step is slower. A simple crew cut is usually closer to thirty.
Maintaining the cut
A fade looks its best for roughly three weeks and is fine for around five. After that the line softens and the shape goes. We offer a free six-day touch-up window on the perimeter - drop in within six days of your last visit and we will redo the neck and side lines at no charge.
The best haircut is the one you forget you are wearing. That is the test.
